We have increased cleaning and sanitizing at our emergency shelter and transition homes. We continue to monitor staff and residents for symptoms and send them to the appropriate locations for testing. Staff are required to screen new residents and any essential visitors for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entry. If a youth is experiencing symptoms, they self-isolate in their private room to reduce contact.

Our Family Mediation Worker and Prevention Diversion Worker are working at our emergency shelter, meeting clients in-person as well as providing support to youth and families via video conference, phone, text, and email. Masks are worn for in-person meetings, hand sanitizer is provided, and physical distancing is practiced.

If you are experiencing family conflict or difficulties at home, please contact our Family Mediation Worker, Vivienne. You can call or text them at 613-449-4803 or send them an email at families@kingstonyouthshelter.com.

If you are seeking housing assistance, facing eviction, or you need help navigating mental health/addictions support, please contact our Prevention Diversion Worker, Mitchell. You can call or text him at 613-449-2056 or send him an email at mitchell@kingstonyouthshelter.com.
